On and Off Highway Hydraulic Stabilisation Legs
Power-Packer’s stabilizing legs are used for a wide-range of applications both in the On-Highway Market and in the Off-Highway Market. Differentiating capabilities and features provide optimum performance in numerous applications.
We have several designs for Off-Highway hydraulic stabilizing legs that have non-exposed rods that will not rust, corrode, dent or scratch. For On-Highway applications, there are several hydraulic stabilizing legs available that have exposed rods that are ideal for trailer applications because there is no external transfer tube to bend, dent, or break. Our compact leg design provides maximum strength and lift through efficiency. An integrated cup shoe provides stability and minimizes penetration. The pilot operated lock valve works even if hydraulics fail. Lock valves are repairable without removing the leg, simplifying on-site repairs.
In short, Power-Packer’s legs are part of a carefully considered design by our engineering team. They provide safety, longevity, and performance using several unique features, such as: a rod up, tube-in-tube design, a unique thru-rod design, integral dual pilot operated check valves,
and optional integral counterbalance valves. There are a large number of bore sizes, load ratings, and stroke lengths available.
Features & Benefits
Features | Benefits |
---|---|
Stiff Legs available for 3.5” to 6” bore legs. | The stiff leg option is only available through Power-Packer. The Stiff leg works as a secondary locking device equipment that will be on a job site for an extended period of time. |
Rod Up, Tube-in-Tube Design | Provides complete isolation of the rod and seals from external damage from rocks, dust, debris, resulting in extended life in rough or harsh environments. |
Unique Power-Packer Thru-Rod Design | Ports the cylinder completely internally which eliminates an external transfer tube. This provides a more robust design to the traditional external transfer tube. |
Integral Dual Pilot Operated Check Valves | Provides positive holding even if a line, tube, or fittings are damaged, broken, or disconnected while the leg is under load. This can prevent added repair costs. |
Optional Integral Counterbalance Valves | Provides overload protection when lifting an unbalanced load with multiple legs. All-in-one design allows simple mounting without designing additional tube, structure, and connections. Optional, matching mounting plates can save time spent drilling and matching the mount on new or retrofit applications. 10”, 12”, or 16” integral shoe designs with up to 10-degree swivel. |
Wide range of load ratings available to fit a variety of applications. | Load ratings of 16,000 to 70,000 lbs provide secure lifting, lowering, and leveling of the largest equipment. |
